2009 NOTICE OF FUNDS AVAILABILITY (NOFA)
CENTRE CITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES CAPITAL FUNDING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Centre City Development Corporation ("CCDC") on behalf of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Diego announces that it is soliciting applications under its Health and Human Services Capital Funding Assistance Program ("Program"). This Program provides no-interest service repayment loans up to $1,000,000 per project on a matching fund basis to qualified nonprofit organizations to assist with facility relocation, rehabilitation and/or expansion through building acquisition and/or rehabilitation proposals. Applicants must fund 25% of the project's eligible costs from other sources. A total of approximately $4,500,000 is available through the Redevelopment Agency for the 2009 round of program funding, so this will be a competitive process.

The purpose of the Program is two-fold – to help stabilize health and human services in the downtown area and to remove blight. While there is a substantial allowable project maximum cost, smaller proposals are also encouraged. Proposals to acquire and/or improve owner occupied property are preferred.

Interested applicants must first complete the Pre-Application Determination of Eligibility form for this Program. Applicants with projects that are deemed eligible for funding will be notified by CCDC and then must complete the Application for Funds.

All documents relative to this Program, including the 2009 Program Description, can be found at www.ccdc.com. Documents are also available at the CCDC offices located at 401 B Street, Suite 400, or by contacting John W. Collum at (619) 235-2200 or at collum@ccdc.com. Interested applicants are encouraged to read the complete Program Description before applying for assistance. Changes have been made to the Program for the 2009 funding round.

CCDC reserves the right to not fund any proposals through this Program, or may choose to only allocate a portion of any annual funding allocation.
