Park Naming
We would like your input on potential names for new downtown parks. In order to maintain a consistency in the identification and naming of parks and recreational facilities, CCDC is following the City of San Diego Park and Recreation Board's approved policy.
Process:
- Suggested names submitted by the community to CCDC.
- CCDC reviews names with the policy and checks supporting information.
- Names presented to the CCDC Board / Committees and Centre City Advisory Committee (CCAC).
- Names short-listed if necessary, and community may be asked to vote for their preferred name.
- Final decision made by CCDC Board.
Suggestions for names should be made with a completed suggestion form and should include any relevant supporting information.
