PARKING & TRANSIT

To address concerns regarding parking, CCDC worked with the Downtown community to fashion the Comprehensive Downtown Parking Plan, which was adopted by the San Diego City Council in 1997. The plan includes short-term and long-term solutions, including things like a wayfinder signage system and the construction of public parking garages.

Downtown San Diego is the hub of the regional transportation network. Commuters and visitors find their way to the center of the region by using the Coaster, trolley, train, bus or car. For the driver, downtown offers 55,000 parking spaces.
