CCDC News: Statement from CCDC Chairman Fred Maas - Hines
STATEMENT FROM CCDC CHAIRMAN FRED MAAS
SUBJECT: Hines Withdrawal from Civic Center Complex Process
Today, CCDC has received a letter from Hines withdrawing from our competitive process to evaluate the financial implications and options for housing city workers and services downtown. We extend our deepest appreciation to the Hines team for the significant effort and dollars spent throughout this process. Hines is a world-class developer who brought a special expertise and vision to this process and the City has benefitted by their participation.
However, the process will go on and we at CCDC are committed to completing an evaluation of short-and long-term options for the City as well as the proposal submitted by the Gerding Edlen team. Our public meetings and schedule will continue as published.
