Art Miles Mural Project Art Miles Mural Project and Shoes of Hope projects are expanding and making a difference. Come see the hand painted shoes from all over the world, and add your own design to a pair shoes, all of them given to the many throughout the world that have none. The Mural project brings together children & adults from countries around the globe to capture the essence, heritage and spirit of a global village through the creation of large-scale murals. The 12' x 5' murals reflect the challenges of war torn countries as well as the beautiful aspects of the painter’s country. There are over 1,500 painted murals – come help paint one.
Global Villages is a new and wonderfully exciting project to gain information and insight about countries of the world through collaborative partnerships between students and local cultural groups. Students learn about select countries and create an authentic representation of the country in the form of a "village" to be erected on the festival site. Students participate in the village activities during the festival event, attired in clothing of that county, while answering questions and educating the visitors about the traditions, history, cultural aspects geography, climate, and more.
