Annual Budgets

CCDC on behalf of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Diego administers two project area budgets, Centre City and Horton Plaza.

The FY12 Budget of $140 million consists of six components: $46.3 million for project activities, $12.1 million for affordable housing, $44.4 million for long-term debt, $17.0 million for tax sharing/ERAF payments, $4.5 million for City Services and other administrative costs and $15.8 million for city payments. The budget funding is derived from tax increment, tax allocation bonds, parking revenue bonds, developer proceeds, interest income, and other income.

Significant components of the budget include a provision for the funding of land acquisitions for Parks and Open Space, a provision for Phase I of the North Embarcadero improvements, the San Diego Quiet Zone project, public infrastructure improvements, a significant provision for the production of affordable housing units and economic development activities.
